Disability Evaluation
and Impartial Medical Examinations
Colonial Cooperative Care can assist employers and
insurers in better managing both the medical and disability components of lost-time
claims. Our experience has shown us that, regardless of how an injury or illness is
incurred, individuals receive better care, improve more quickly and return to productivity
and the workplace sooner when their care or situation is systematically
managed. We do this through our case
management services.
Colonial Cooperative Care can also provide an employer
with a panel of Impartial Medical Examiners who can conduct a hands on examination for
disability or return to work as well as the availability of Nurse, Vocational and
Physician Examiners who can review medical documents for Social Security or State Benefit
eligibility. The program is focused on the
ability to work, with extent and duration of disability taken into consideration.
Colonial Cooperative Care is expert in the application
of federal criteria used to determine disability and has access to a variety of
multi-specialty physicians to conduct examinations or provide a peer review of medical
records.
